Manali book distribution 2011

By Kunja Kalika dasi

Today we decided to try to focus on distributing big books. Who would have thought that the big Hindi Bhagavad-gita and Journey of the Soul would be the first books we sold in the day? These are difficult to distribute in India, but feeling enthusiastic, we continued the challenge to give to the people those beautiful books.

Attracted by the Hare Krsna maha-mantra we were singing, many people happily approached us, curious to know what these four Western girls are doing. We got the chance to talk to them and share the philosophy. Some of them nicely accepted books, some gave an extra donation, and some showed no interest at all.It was a challenge and we did good. Srila Gurudevaai??i??s potency lives in his books, and they are choosing new homes. We distributed many books and ten big books in Hindi and English and at the end of the day we only came home with the Brahma-samhita.

nice! actually it’s not so hard to distribute big books is it? Ramanath prabhu is encouraging me to focus on them. So now I’m starting with a big book, and moving to a small book if need be, rather than the other way around. It’s going quite well. Thanks for the report.

Pranams Venu ji, why not write a report as well, stating how the BD in UK is going?
      Would be nice.

Vasanti dasi…how did I ever wind up with a niece like you…causeless mercy…Gurudeva’s potency may live in his books but you and your sisters…Are His Potency…You are using the oddity of four beautiful white girls doing Sankirtan…My oddity is a white westerner peddling a trolley up and down the streets of Nabadwipa…distributing Haribol candies and small books(if I was in a Sari I might have done some big books too)…nobody in all Nabadwipa has ever seen a white man peddling a trolley let alone a 68 year ol’ chanting sada dadhu mad-man…It is not us, it is Gurudeva…’you wear my order to do so…it is same potency like me…chanting…sales pitches…Hari Katha…same same’…Gurudeva.
