Radha dasi and I drove from Texas up to Utah for the big Colorfest at the beautiful temple in Spanish Fork, passing through New Mexico on the way. In New Mexico, we hadAthe fun new experience of distributing books at a truck stop. The truckers were very nice people and most took books and gave a donation. We also distributed books in a Walmart parking lot very close to a Native American reservation. Many people were receptive to our being there, and many happily received a Bhagavad-gita.

The Utah colorfest is at Caru prabhu (the organizer) homebase and extremely well-attended. It was a 2 day festival a Awe setup our booth in the cold weather on Friday. There were over 10,000 people there on Saturday, many of them Mormons. The energy was so high, with many having color fights like mad. We met many great people who took books home with them. One lady worked in a library and asked for books for the library, in which we gave her many.

One powerful conversation I had was with a girl who intensely asked me a few questions inquiring my thoughts on topics of abortion, tattoos and divorce. After chatting a bit about how the body is different from the soul, I gave her a Jaiva-dharma feeling she would like how it is in question and answer format. She said she didnat have money, but really wanted it, so I told her it was a gift. She then burst out crying.

It was a super fun festival and especially uplifting to distribute books with Radha dasi, who has taken Srila Gurudevaas instruction to distribute his books deep in her heart.

Malini dasi also danced and did kirtan at the festival which was very enlivening to watch and participate in a her energetic mood is contagious, and she is giving inspiration to so many souls. Srila Gurudeva is really empowering his daughters. Praying to be able to continue this service with a proper mood.

The three of us then stayed a couple days in Salt Lake City and continued on to Boise where we stayed for the week and did four prison programs in Oregon (Snake River Correctional and Powder River Correctional). That report to follow.

So much gratitude to the donors of the GVP Book Sponsorship Program who enable these trips to festivals to happen, and for anxiety-free distribution.

Srila Gurudeva ki jaya! Srila Prabhupada ki jaya!
Transcendental Book Distribution ki jaya.
