Bhagavad-gita classes
Jai Srila Gurudeva ! All glories to Sri Radha Raman Bihari Ji, I got the news that there is an opportunity to distribute free books written by Srila Gurudeva. We are conducting monthly classes in Indirapuram, near Noida (in hindi). And I am looking for some Bhagawad Geeta’s (hindi) written by our gurudeva, so that we can discuss these in our monthly classes. For now I just want 20 copies but if there is some problem sending/arranging then just 15 will also do. |
Our monthly Nama-hatta program is going on for last 2 years. In the beginning we were doing katha without reading from books. But then I thought that it would be better if every person attending the class has a book, and one person leading the class willl read out a paragraph and then have discussion on it. That way, the discussion with stay within the scope of what we are reading.
For now, we are studying some small books like ‘Atma ke Chipe Rahasya’ and ‘Hari nama mahamantra’ and ‘Vaishnava-sidhhanta-mala’. we do not have any Bhagwad Geeta.
The schedule for our program is like we have 1.5 hr mahamantra kirtana, 30 minutes gaudiya bhajans , then Gaur arati etc and then class, followed by prasadam cooked by us in our house. Generally 25-35 devotees come for attending the class.
Yes my plan is to keep it with me because we will keep on reading it amongs our study group, even when new people come for joining the classes, or when we have finished reading Bhagwad Geeta, we will start second round of reading it again.
If anyone wants to buy, we can tell the price and then use that money for buying more books. But for now, we are buying some small books on our own and then distributing them for free amongst the devotees. Also, personally, I avoid asking for funds from devotees.
